This website and your choices

This notice describes the VölvaEchoes website. No analytics or advertising tools are included. Fonts, artwork and the Home film load from the same site. Ordinary page requests can expose technical information such as your IP address to the hosting provider.

Necessary storage

Necessary is always on. Its purpose is to remember your privacy choice in this browser using localStorage under volvaechoes-consent. The record contains only a version number, your Media choice and an ISO timestamp. It is written after a choice, has no automatic expiry in this preview, and remains until replaced or cleared through your browser's site-data controls. If storage is unavailable, the choice lasts only for the current page. No contact entries are included.

Optional Media and YouTube

Media starts off. A YouTube player is loaded only after you allow Media and choose a film. YouTube can then receive device, network and viewing information and may use its own storage. Privacy-enhanced playback does not mean anonymous playback. Recipients of that interaction include YouTube/Google under their own policies; their retention and any international transfers are outside this preview's control.

To withdraw Media consent, open Cookie Settings in any footer, switch off Media and choose Save settings. Active players are removed and local posters return. Withdrawal stops further embedded loading; it does not undo earlier processing or clear YouTube's own stored data. Clear that data using your browser or the provider's controls. You can use the rest of the site with Media off.

External release and social links open another site. Those services apply their own privacy rules independently of your Media setting. See Google's privacy policy.

Contact form: purpose, recipients and retention

The contact form asks for name, email, subject and message so VölvaEchoes can answer rights, licensing and general enquiries. Jesper Schalburg Hansen / VölvaEchoes is the data controller. The information is used to respond to your request and, where relevant, to take steps connected with an agreement or legal obligation.

The website is hosted by Nordicway. Messages are delivered to contact@volvaechoes.com and may be forwarded to the controller's Gmail inbox for handling. The website does not keep a separate database of contact messages. Technical anti-spam controls use a one-way representation of the sender's IP address for short-term rate limiting; message text is not written to the website's rate-limit files.

Ordinary enquiries are normally deleted when they are no longer needed and no later than 12 months after the matter is closed, unless longer retention is necessary for an agreement, bookkeeping, a legal claim or another legal obligation. Do not include sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your request.

Your rights

Where personal data is processed, rights may include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability, subject to the conditions in data-protection law. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on it and complain to Datatilsynet. Use the contact form or email contact@volvaechoes.com for a privacy request.
